Why is authentication done in person instead of by photo upload?

Entrupy's authentication technology requires images to be captured live, through its own app, at the time of inspection. That means we authenticate your item together — either at a scheduled local meetup/drop-off or by appointment — rather than working from photos you take and send yourself.

 

Where do appointments take place?

By arrangement upon booking — confirm your service area and location(s) when you book.

 

How accurate is the authentication?

We use Entrupy's AI-powered authentication platform, which is independently reported to authenticate at very high accuracy across supported brands and product categories. No method is 100% infallible.

 

Which brands and items can you authenticate?

Please ask us before booking if you're unsure whether your item's brand and category is supported.

 

What if my result comes back inconclusive?

An inconclusive result means the capture didn't provide enough detail for a confident determination. In most cases we can recapture a specific detail on the spot during the same appointment at no extra charge.

 

How long does it take?

The in-person capture takes about 10-15 minutes per item. Your written result and certificate typically arrive within 24-48 hours of your appointment.

 

Is my information kept private?

Item images captured during your appointment are used only to perform your authentication and are not shared with third parties beyond the authentication technology provider. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

 

What's your refund policy?

No refund once a result is issued, since the $99 covers the appointment and processing regardless of outcome.

 

Is Verigem affiliated with Entrupy or the brands you authenticate?

Verigem is an independent authentication service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Entrupy or any of the designer brands referenced on this site.
